Our Group has active sections of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and benefits from the use of excellent facilities and a wide range of equipment. A significant amount of fundraising is required to make Scouting accessible to as many as possible, and this is part of being a member of the Scout Group. Members of the sections, leaders and parents all take part to make this successful.

Funding for the Group comes from term fees and each section may organise specific fund raising activities too. The Fundraising committee also organises events ranging from bag packs to bingo.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids

We collect Active Kids vouchers every year. Given to you with your shopping, they can soon mount up and enable us to “buy” equipment without using any cash!

In 2013 we collected nearly 5,000 vouchers and “bought” an indoor Kurling set.

Hopefully we will do even better next year – watch out for details in January 2016.
